Mid-Island Racing Pigeon Society is inviting fellow flyers to see if their birds have what it takes to fly our course.

Vancouver Island known as being one of the toughest racecourses in Canada, this gives you a great opportunity to take the challenge of seeing if your birds have what it takes to race our course.

Accepting birds from May 1 – May 15, no exceptions

Derby News

Our Pig Roast on Derby day is cancelled due to fire restrictions. The club will provide a BBQ for hamburgers & hot dogs and we look forward to a fun day for all on August 28th.  -  MIRPS

Pooling

Bonding the birds $60 in the high $40 in the low Total $100 per bird.

Progressive pooling $1 thru $20. Also $50 pool the winner takes all.

Derby News

Birds have been loft flown everyday and trained up Island 7 times. All birds in the loft went to each toss with excellent returns and we are happy with the condition & health of all the entrants. Our club racing has been very good this year so we are optimistic the Derby will have day birds & good returns.

Owners have until 11.00am to cover their birds, after 11.00am it is open to the public.
